Welcome to The Naked Portafilter!
The Naked Portafilter is dedicated to the highest quality espresso and brewed coffee preparation. Starting with the finest blends and single-origin espressos available in the local market, all of our shots are “ristretto” unless otherwise requested this ensures the maximum concentration of flavor with no bitter undertones.
I will be featuring different varietals for our brewed coffee selections which will be available either in pump pots, French Press or brewed in filter cones.
My commitment to bringing you the best coffees available includes offering award winning coffees from Caffe' D'arte as well as working with local roasters to feature their favorite coffees on a revolving basis. My commitment is to the coffee producers too. Many small producers are growing phenomenal coffees and as the public’s awareness of these fantastic coffees increases due to programs like the Cup of Excellence, more small roasters are finding these micro-lots of coffee and it will be our mission to introduce these coffees to you. These are purchased directly from the growers in most cases allowing the profit to get directly to the farmer and not be diluted by brokers and middlemen. This is True fair trade! Sustainable growing practices, whether organic or shade grown are vitally important as well and I am always on the lookout for great, sustainable coffees.
Our Chai and other Teas come from The Jasmine Pearl Tea Merchants, where the founders travel the world over sampling the finest teas and sharing their love and knowledge of tea with us, the lucky consumers. Many of these are certified organic as well. Our milk is from Sunshine dairy who has been bringing us the best milk in the Pacific NW for many years without the use of any rbst or Bovine growth hormone. We offer real fruit smoothies from Dr. Smoothie, sweetened only with fruit, all vine-ripened and processed on the day of picking, they are loaded with phyto-nutrients and anti-oxidants. One 16oz smoothie is the equivalent of 4 of your daily fruit servings. It’s like biting into a piece of vine ripened fresh fruit
